Join Education Sector and The Urban Institute on February 28 for a luncheon release of Collective Bargaining in Education: Negotiating Change in Today's Schools (Harvard Education Press). Edited by Jane Hannaway of the Urban Institute and Education Sector's Andrew Rotherham, this collection of essays from leading scholars and analysts takes an in-depth look at the controversial world of teacher collective bargaining.

Citizens' Commission on Civil Rights Chairman William Taylor writes:

"Jane Hannaway and Andy Rotherham have turned a searchlight on an important and neglected subject. Collective Bargaining in Education assembles experts who often have strongly contrasting views but whose knowledge and perspectives are invaluable. This is a must-read for anyone concerned about reforming public education."

Hill, Center for Reinventing Public Education and University of Washington; William Taylor, Citizens' Commission on Civil Rights.
