Allison Schulhof is a senior at Duke University, where she is pursuing a bachelor of arts degree in public policy. At Duke, she has tutored elementary school students in Durham and analyzed district-reported data to identify middle school students at-risk of dropping out. Last summer, she interned at the U.S. Department of Education in the Office of Postsecondary Education, where she developed a data-based performance summary for grant projects operating under the Title III Minority Science and Engineering Improvement Program. At Education Sector, Schulhof hopes to explore the Common Core State Standards, school choice, state waivers for ESEA,and the role of gender in classrooms.
