Jennie Herriot Hatfield is currently pursuing a master of public policy at Georgetown University. She spent this past summer working with the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools through the Education Pioneers graduate fellowship program. Prior to graduate school, Hatfield worked in development and communications for the KIPP schools in Los Angeles. Working with KIPP piqued Hatfield's interest in issues related to educational equity. While at Education Sector, she hopes to learn more about a variety of topics, including the federal government’s role in education, teacher pensions, and teacher evaluation. Hatfield holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
