Roza has recently joined the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation as senior data and economic advisor for the foundation's U.S. program's education work.
Currently on leave from the Center on Reinventing Public Education and the University of Washington, Roza's research focuses on quantitative policy analysis, particularly in the area of education finance. Her recent research has documented inequities and inefficiencies in spending within school districts and identified mechanisms for enabling strategic budgeting decisions for districts.
