Cannon organizes Education Sector's popular public events and private convenings, and manages board governance and other special projects. Before joining Education Sector, Cannon served for two years as the membership manager for the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN). Her responsibilities included maintaining the association's member database, serving as liaison to the board of directors and committees, and managing the annual awards and scholarship programs. From 1997 to 2003 she was on staff at the American Association of School Administrators, eventually serving as the membership services manager, supervising seven of the association's annual award and scholarship programs. Prior to her work with education nonprofits, Cannon was a residential real estate agent for twelve years in northern Virginia. A graduate of San Diego State University, she lives in Arlington with her husband, Carl. They have three children.
