Carnevale is a research professor at Georgetown University. A former senior fellow at the National Center on Education and the Economy (NCEE), Carnevale served as vice-president for public leadership at the Educational Testing Service (ETS), a private, nonprofit corporation devoted to the fulfillment of human potential and the assessment of human performance, primarily in the field of education.  Prior to his appointment at ETS, Carnevale served as director of human resource studies at the Committee for Economic Development (CED), the nation's largest leading business-sponsored research organization.
