Debating Teacher Certification

To kick off a week-long online debate between Education Sector's Kevin Carey and David Ritchey of the Association of Teacher Educators, the blog Edspresso posed the question:
"All who wish to teach must receive some form of credentialing or certification before they can begin their careers. Is the practice helping to improve student achievement?"
