- Who We Are
Who We Are
Education Sector is an independent think tank that challenges conventional thinking in education policy. We are a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization committed to achieving measurable impact in education policy, both by improving existing reform initiatives and by developing new, innovative solutions to our nation’s most pressing education problems.
The ultimate beneficiaries of our work are students. Our mission is to promote changes in policy and practice that lead to improved student opportunities and outcomes.
What We Believe
Students in America deserve a high-quality, publicly financed education through high school. They deserve the financial help necessary to attend high-quality colleges and universities. And they should be able to update their knowledge and skills throughout their lives.

Education Sector is a hybrid institution, formed at the intersection of public policy, research, and journalism. We borrow from each of these fields. This combination makes our work stronger and requires us to think in different ways.
Funders and Finances
As a component of our transparency policy, we list our sources of financial support.
